The Princess and the Pea

Here are pictures of the play that Summer and Bode were in last week. Missoula Children's Theatre comes every yr to one of the 3 Elementaries in the district-so we're on a 3 yr rotation-and it was BC turn this yr. Summer was a citizen of Riverdom and Bode was a dusty bunny from under the bed. They had a fun time and enjoyed themselves. Of course, we couldn't hear them at all. Actually really couldn't hear anyone except Owen H. who did a great job saying his lines loud and clear. I'm glad it's over as it was alot of late nights for them-out until 7 for 3 nights in a row for Summer-that's not coming home from school either. So until next time, in 3 yrs. Here is my kids acting debut!

Halloween costumes

Summer and Haylee's primary teacher with weird eyes!!

Summer was a movie star.

Brek was a green dinosaur. When we were walking to the car the dog saw his tail and was chasing it. I was afriad he might rip it off.

Mr Muscles, Spiderman who knows how to pose??

Here are a few pictures of the kids in their costumes. We had a great night and got alot of candy!! We live in a great area with alot of generous people.

My updated ring

I can't get a very good picture of my new diamond in my ring but it's huge. I don't like it because it sticks up so high, I'm afraid I might break the diamond off. I'm going to try again to move the diamond down into the setting a bit so it doesn't stick up so far. But as for the diamond, it's beautiful and big and shiny. I really like it!!

GWL year 2

We made our annual trek to Great Wolf Lodge with our good friends The Naef's. Some of the highlights were...

-A 5 am phone call asking if we were missing a blonde headed little girl. She had left her room in the night and couldn't tell the front desk which room was hers. We checked. All of our kids were in bed but about 10 minutes later, we heard the knocks at our next door neighbors'. It took about 5 minutes to raise someone in their room. I think the girl made it back to her parents.

-Eric throwing up in the garbage can at the bottom of -not the howling tornado- but the "easy family ride". At least he didn't throw up on the ride!!-Brek really didn't like the water too much. He spent most of his time in this Ice Cream Truck and pretty much thought he owned the thing. The pic of him with the little girl is the only time I didn't see him sitting in the drivers' seat.

-All kinds of teenage stuff and quite of bit of tweeny stuff too
-Bode's solution to getting shoes on??
-All kinds of wild animals in and out of the water.
-Lots of fun in the wave pool-WARNING-sorry some of my shots have bikinis in the them!
-A downpour of rain on the way home and a traffic jam on I-90 while we passed about 10 miles of an army convoy. All the truckers had to get into the left lane which took a long time for everyone to get through.
-A government transportation PU parking right behind our van at a rest area? Don't ask me why unless they didn't want us to leave suddenly?? We were able to get out without hitting it-weird!!
All in all, we had a great time!! It is so much fun. There were more people there this year than last but it still wasn't packed. You didn't have to wait any kind of time to ride on any of the slides. Can't wait for next year!!

Teenage Boy

Why do boys do things like this? I have quite a few years until my boys are teenagers but look what happened at our house!! Are you thinking that maybe my teenager daughter and her friends have something to do with this?? Well, it wasn't any of them!!

Some boy completely destroyed our jack-o lanterns!! We had to hurry and get a few more carved so we would have some for Halloween!! I bet you were thinking it was Bode or Brek but you were wrong!! Here's the culprit!!

Trigger did this while we were at the football game!! DESTRUCTOE!!

Cub Scout and the Patch

Here are some pictures of Bode at the pumpkin patch with the cub scouts. No he isn't 8 yet and really shouldn't be going but when your mom is the leader--well, ya get to go!!

How much should we charge??

We have decided that we are going to start charging admissions to sit by us in church because all those around us and sitting on the stand are getting to see a FREE CIRCUS!!!

Good Quote

I received this quote from a good friend of mine and thought it explains our nation's current situation very well.
"You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebosy else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is the beginning of the end of any nation. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it." Adrian Rogers
Now do I think that we shouldn't share with those around us, absolutely not. Do I think that you should give what you can to can improve the lives of others, yes I do. I hope that our nation doesn't turn into everyone wanting something for nothing. We won't survive.

Lexi's VB

Lexi had some VB games this week. She did OK in the game against Royal City. Well, I think every ball she touched, she shanked one way or the other but at the service line, she scored 19 points in a row. Then on Thursday in her game against Warden she did considerably better, I think she only missed one ball and she serves 13 points in a row. Good job Lexi. It's nice to be able to practice! Just getting to practice makes you a better player. She's also excited because she's lost her summer 15, now that she's exercising.

Earthquakes and tsunamis

Bode was watching the news and he came and told me that there was an "earthclake and a salami" not in the same place though.

It's been a week...

I'm back to nothin to say again. I guess alot has happened but maybe no time to post about it. Bode had his first soccer game. When he was going to practice, he hated it. "I don't want to do soccer anymore." But now that he's played in a game, he loves it! However, he has started having this little cough and with the swine flu (not really) going around but some kind of nasty flu, I just don't want him to go expose everyone to the disease at school. So he's stayed home two days last week and didn't go to church today. One of my good friends, Danell, had her baby and I really don't want to "share" with them although they will probably get it anyway. Summer has been busy learning how to be a 6th grader. Lots of homework, like at least 2 hours every night. Lots of reading and math. Lexi had her first VB game. They won against Othello in 3. She got to play quite a bit which was exciting for her. She's also busy with homework and socializing. Brek is still busy running wild. We habve fun football games to go to. He has learned how to roll down the hill at the football staduim, really fun for all the kids. Eric is busy with 3 crops coming out of fields, onions, corn and potatoes. His guys are doing onions and tatoes and a crew from the big farm is doing the corn. I'm in a play for enrichment meeting and having been trying to remember my 4 lines. I have my "outfit" picked out. I asked Eric if it was ok that I was going to be making a fool of myself. "I guess. You're going to make a fool of yourself?" Yeh, once everyone sees me in my outfit!! I'll post pics when it's over. See just kinda boring.

Just call the COPS!!

and arrest us for grand theft auto! Yeh, there's a story. Mom and Dad N had to go to prison right after church. Dad had to be at church early so they drove two seperate cars and asked us to bring one home (mom and I made all these arrangements on Sat-I forgot :}) Anyhoo, so Eric and Lexi had to be at church early and then I came later so we had two cars down at the church also and only two drivers. So we recuirted our neighbor, Tyson Brook, to bring dad's PU to our house. I told them to just go jump in the white Columbia View PU, the keys were in it, maybe in the visor. They got home before we did. We drove in and saw a white CV PU in our yard but it was the wrong PU!! How did we know that it was the wrong PU! Well, it could be the fact that the bumper isn't wired on with baling wire and that the passenger door opens (if this doesn't make any sense to you, go to my sister's blog-that's how my dad "fixes" things too.) It was the Bishop's PU!! I about died. We had unintentionally asked Tyson to commit GRAND THEFT AUTO!! with not just anyone's PU, but the Bishop's PU!! Eric drove his PU back down and got dad's BLACK PU!! Duh!! and brought it home. I called down to the church to let them know that we had the Bishop's PU and it was on it's way back down to the church! I guess we should be in prison instead of mom and dad. !-}
