Lexi

Here are some pictures of Lexi over the past few months.

Family Pictures

We had family pictures taken in September by Bri Huwe.  She did a good job.  These are a few of them of our family.  I took the ones of the boys.

Thanksgiving Turkey Trot

We attended the first Basin City Turkey Trot. Everyone ran/walked and we had a great time with lots of our neighbors showing up.

High School Musical

Here are some picture of the girls after the play they were in. They had a fun time but I'm so glad it's over as it takes a massive amount of time to be in a play.

Brek

Here's some pictures of Brek. When he where's the plaid pj bottoms he says they are his reading pants like dad's reading jacket that is plaid that dad always wears. And he also put on the reading glasses. What a funny kid!!

Sad :-(

The farmer that owns the orchard on the top of Basin City hill pulled out the rest of his trees and is planting vineyard. I'm sad because its so beautiful in the spring when the peach trees are in bloom. They have the prettiest pink buds. No more pink flowers.

Cheerios, Cheerios, Cheerios

That's right!  Cheering has started.  Here's some pictures of accessories and the Cheerios.  Their first match was at Cle Elum and then they cheered at Connell Invite.  This week she cheers in Royal and at Warden girls tournament.  She loves it and works with some great girls and has a great coach.  I made the bows and the pillows the girls sit on.

Craftings

I know fall off your chair.  I'm blogging.  Yesterday I actually didn't have one place to go (well, I did, but Eric did the parental duties at the high school, so I got to stay home!!)  But while at home Brek and I broke out the cricut and sizzix and he has to give the scripture on Sunday so we drew a picture of the first Article of Faith.  I have also been doing a little crafting for showers and weddings and Christmas, etc.  Here's one of the projects that I did.  The pictures are out of order but if you look at the top pictures, you can almost make out the shine of the white color crayon that Brek used to draw the Holy Ghost.  The bottom picture has the tape around the Holy Ghost but you can't really see it.

High School Musical

She didn't get the part and doesn't know if she can stand to try for any other parts because it is too sad to not get a part.  They didn't double cast so that's most likely why and the fact that she's so busy.  I hope that disappointment doesn't turn her away from the Lord but to the Lord.  Sometimes we become bitter especially when we are younger.  Summer is trying out for the play sometime this week.  I imagine she will have the same results with at least 2 of the top girls vying for the part she wants.  I'm not sure if we're doing the play or not.  At least we won't have to listen to the songs over and over and over ;-)

Train Safety

I must have driven over those train tracks in Mesa a thousand times.  Yesterday as I was driving over them I literally was going to be stuck on the tracks between the 2 guard arms that come down across the tracks.  There are 2 sets of tracks and I had just crossed the first set when the lights started going and the arms started coming down.  You kinda have to go slow because it's bumpy and you could lose your oil pan on the tracks so I was going slow and half way through the slow I had to speed up to get out of the arm's way so it didn't come down on my van and crush my cubs that I had in there.  Brek said "We were going to be killed!!" to Eric when I told him about it.  Every interesting/surreal experience!!  Remind you of a certain Ren??

Lots going on as you can see I can't seem to get it together to blog.  Between school getting out!! YEH!!  Cub Daycamp, sister retreat-with an add bonus!!, volleyball camp, basketball camp, cheer activities, Gma Santos funeral, family visits, birthdays, etc.  We have been busy!!  We had our big playday at Basin City Elementary which included 8 bouncehouses and a dunk tank that the teachers volunteer to sit on.  We fill the tank with nice hot water-too hot in fact and had to add some cold.  The kiddos have a great time!!  Grandma Santos, Gma Freeman's mother past away on June 5.  Everyone in the Freeman Family made it to the viewing except Tyson.  His family was sick.  Lexi has been busy doing volleyball and basketball.  She also turned 16 and had a date the night of her birthday with a nice kid from Mattawa.  We are looking for a putt putt car that can make the trek to Connell every day.  Summer had to do a science project with her friend Haylee.  She also has done a few cheerleading things. Bode had his 9th birthday party with a bunch of boys, has been busy with scouts and riding his motorcycle.  Brek is just my sidekick.  We get in the car he asked, "Are we going to basketball?"  Yep that's pretty much all we do, is go to games.  We have a fun summer planned and hope to be able to see all of our family!! this summer!!
