The cub scout Blue and Gold banquet is over! I think it was a success. The boys were happy. And there was lots of yummy, delish food and lots left over so nobody went away hungry. I'm glad it's over and now get to move to the next big project-Grandparent's Day at the school.

Sadness can be replaced...
by an incredible feeling of love and comfort. I have a little story to tell. We are in the middle of preparing for our Blue and Gold Banquet for Cubs. I had gotten online at Costco and ordered pictures and then forgot about them even when my other den mom was going to Costco. Now here it is 2 days before the party and I'm missing about 100 pictures that are being used in the centerpieces. I sent out the plea for help. I was sinking!! There was no way I could make a trip to Costco, make 100 ribbon jellos, decorate for a 100 year old birthday party, attend VB practice(which I'm not attending) and do all the other things that moms have to do. And as I saw myself going down, you (several of you) heard my cries for help and threw me a lifeline. I sent an email to the 2 RS in our area and I was saved by so many of you. My VTee even offered her husband to pick up pictures for me!! Thank you so much for your true devotion to our Savior. Although this may seem like a small thing, it was a huge thing to me! You have truly saved me in my hour of desperation. Thank you so much. I have been taught by you good women. Going a little out of your way and really helping someone is a good thing. You saved me. Thank you.

I'm still here...
and really busy. But aren't we all. I really wanted to get my Christmas letter out by V-day, but I don't think that is happening either. I've been busy with ball games, cub scouts, vinyl, crafting, being my baby's BFF and my husband's driver to and from Dr. appointments.

Just when you think you will be ok
something happens to remind you of your loss. As many of you know, my brother is having a walkway/bridge named after him in Kirkland, WA. It has been interesting and hard process that I really haven't been invovled in at all. I just saw what it is going to say on the plague and then the tears come again. I guess in ways I'm glad the tears don't stop coming because that means the bond continues and love is stronger than death. But it's hard to feel sad and it hurts. Anyway, Lexi was pretty sad too as they lost their game last night to a tough Othello Team. It wasn't even close. She didn't score any points but had several go in and out of the basket. I think the final score was 30-8. She has been emotional all am. Summer's team won 26-24. It would have been a tie except a girl on the other team accidently scored a basket in our bucket so basically we won by her points, SAD!! But everyone left happy!! Thank goodness for that because not too many people left O-town happy!!

WHOOAAA!! What just happened!!
Lexi had a game tonight against Royal. She struggled last week in her last two game, in fact, losing against Finley (but she was high point with a womping 4 point-they had 11 and lost 17-11) but she also fouled out. But tonight, it was a whole new ball player. She did foul-smart fouls though-or smarter fouls, stopping girls from having a clean shot at the basket. But she scored 15 points including 3 freethrows!! I couldn't believe it!! She was high point tonight too and her best friend, Shayla, got to play with her-Shay usually plays on the 8th grade team. Shay made 10 points. Oh yeh, sad score 37-1. I was so glad they made 1 point!! At least!! Lexi's coach is an LDS guy from Connell and he asked her if she read her scriptures this morning because she did so good. He had to bench her to keep her from scoring more points!! It was a fun night for the team!!
